Florence Forget is a research director at INRAE and currently director of the "Mycology and Food Safety" research unit (UR1264 MycSA). For nearly 20 years, she has been leading research projects on the mechanisms of contamination of plant production by mycotoxins and more specifically by mycotoxins produced by species of the genus Fusarium (for example, the ANR projects DON&Co and CaDON). A biochemist by training, she is more specifically interested in the study of the biochemical mechanisms regulating the biosynthesis of mycotoxins and in the search for biomolecules capable of interfering with these fungal metabolic pathways. She has been an expert at EFSA (member of the QPS group) and ANSES (member of the CES Biorisk) and has been a member of the INRAE "cereal chain" group for the past 10 years. Her scientific activity has contributed to more than 80 articles on the subject of mycotoxins.
